Vice President Redercher to Attend Colloquium Event in Brussels

ECCAR Vice President Lucienne Redercher will attend the Colloquium event on "Promoting inclusion and fundamental values through education - A way to prevent violent radicalisation", organised by the European Commission (Directorate General for Education and Culture) on 26 May 2016 in Brussels hosted by Commissioner Navracsics. The aim of the Colloquium will be to assert the importance of education in fostering diverse, inclusive and peaceful societies. The event will take stock of the developments since the adoption of the Declaration on promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education ('Paris Declaration' - https://ec.europa.eu/epale/it/node/13529). Additionally, there will be opportunities to exchange good practices at national, regional and local level and debate ways to take forward the implementation of the Declaration, jointly adopted by European Ministers responsible for Education and the European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. - Tibor Navracsics on 17 March 2015. The event will gather participants including education practitioners, civil society and local associations, youth and sport organisations, media and academia, as well as policy makers at local, national and European level.
