On the 12th and 13th of June, the 10th working meeting of the German-speaking ECCAR member cities took place at the invitation of the city of Bonn. Once a year, the German-speaking member cities meet to share experiences, participate in workshops and discuss the activities of the city coalition and their implementation in the communities.
Mayor Ashok Sridharan welcomed the participants from 14 cities, including Karlsruhe, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Wolfsburg, Bielefeld, Apolda, Dresden and Zurich. Dieter Jetschmanegg, head of department at the Potsdam Lord Mayor, took part in the city of Potsdam, which also houses the ECCAR office. Coletta Manemann, Integration Officer of the City of Bonn, presented the Integration Office and its tasks, Mariela Georg from the Municipal Integration Center reported on the current state of implementation and further development of the 10-point action plan in Bonn. In the workshop on "Diversity-Oriented Urban Development", led by dr. Andrés Nader (RAA Berlin) and Miriam Camara (AKOMA Education and Culture) exchanged and discussed principles and quality criteria for racism-critical and diversity-oriented urban development. In addition, there was sufficient room for conceptual considerations about a stronger networking of German-speaking ECCAR members.
Presumably in December 2019, the next working meeting of the German-speaking ECCAR member cities will take place, hosted by the city of Dresden.

Am 12. und 13. Juni fand auf Einladung der Stadt Bonn das 10. Arbeitstreffen der deutschsprachigen ECCAR-Mitgliedsstädte statt. Einmal jährlich treffen sich die deutschsprachigen Mitgliedsstädte zum Erfahrungsaustausch, nehmen an Workshops teil und beraten über die Aktivitäten der Städtekoalition und deren Umsetzung in den Kommunen.
Oberbürgermeister Ashok Sridharan begrüßte die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer aus 14 Städten, darunter Karlsruhe, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Wolfsburg, Bielefeld, Apolda, Dresden und Zürich. Für die Stadt Potsdam, bei der auch die ECCAR-Geschäftsstelle angesiedelt ist, nahm Dieter Jetschmanegg, Fachbereichsleiter beim Potsdamer Oberbürgermeister, teil. Coletta Manemann, Integrationsbeauftragte der Stadt Bonn, stellte die Stabsstelle Integration und ihre Aufgabenfelder vor, Mariela Georg vom Kommunalen Integrationszentrum berichtete über den aktuellen Stand der Umsetzung und Weiterentwicklung des 10-Punkte-Aktionsplans in Bonn.
Im Workshop zum Thema "Diversitätsorientierte Stadtentwicklung", geleitet von Dr. Andrés Nader (RAA Berlin) und Miriam Camara (AKOMA Bildung und Kultur), wurden Grundsätze und Qualitätskriterien für eine rassismuskritische und diversitätsorientierte Stadtentwicklung ausgetauscht und diskutiert. Zusätzlich war genügend Raum für konzeptionelle Überlegungen über eine stärkere inhaltliche Vernetzung der deutschsprachigen ECCAR-Mitglieder.
Voraussichtlich im Dezember 2019 findet das nächste Arbeitstreffen der deutschsprachigen ECCAR-Mitgliedsstädte statt, Gastgeberin wird dann die Stadt Dresden sein.
