Deepest sympathies and solidarity with Halle, Germany

Halle a. d. Saale – Germany

With reference to the recent events involving the alleged anti-Semitic and right-wing extremist murderous and fatal assault, that occurred in the city of Halle (Germany) on the Yom Kippur day (09.10.2019), the European Coalition of Cities against Racism expresses on behalf of all the cities of the Coalition, the deepest sympathies and solidarity to all the victims, the citizens and the lord mayor himself of the city of Halle.

In an official letter directly adressed to the lord mayor of Halle, the president assured on behalf of the ECCAR member cities, the maximum solidarity to all the victims, the citizens and the lord mayor of the German city, member of the ECCAR network since 2006. He emphasizes how important and necessary it is for the Coalition to struggle and keep fighting for a more inclusive, respectful and tolerant coexistence between, within and even beyond communities.
